TEAM THAT MADE A STATEMENT: Troy: The Colts are 8-0 for a reason and their 10-7 win over Berkley on Friday night set up a showdown with Bloomfield Hills next week. It was a 34 yard field goal that sealed it and a goal line stand for Troy that aided in the victory. It should be a very interesting matchup for the Blue crown.
TOUGH LOSS: North Farmington: The Raiders have lost five straight games since leading 17-0 against Oak Park. North Farmington fell 30-16 to West Bloomfield on Friday night. In all five losses the Raiders have had the lead in each of those games. North Farmington has a huge one looming with Traverse City Central next week.
TEAM THAT NEEDS A HUG: Avondale: The Yellow Jackets took a bit of a hit on Friday night falling 28-24 to Farmington at Dick Bye Field. Avondale needs to win to keep their postseason hopes alive when they play Troy Athens next week.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME: Southfield Arts and Tech: The Warriors defense has fallen apart. Southfield Arts and Tech has allowed over 40 points in four straight games including a 42-28 loss to Oak Park last week. The Warriors have an interesting matchup looming with River Rouge next week.
