MR. SANDY DUNES 64-22

BURNEY 58-28

COTTER 70-16

TIM 62-24

DUNLAP 68-18

STICK 64-22

1. Adams at 9. Stoney Creek: The Highlanders are rolling. They have used a very strong quarterback duo of Nick Pattera and Parker Picot. Picot has seen the balk of the time at quarterback but it was Pattera was the man last week in Adams 24-7 win over Groves. The Highlanders should be tested against the Cougars. Adams should be motivated after losing 23-10 at home last season. Stoney Creek has played much better despite losing 27-26 to Oxford in overtime last week. This should be a very good game. Time possession could play a huge role in this rivalry matchup on Tienken and Sheldon Roads.

MR SANDY DUNES: ADAMS 21, STONEY CREEK 20.

BURNEY: ADAMS 34, STONEY CREEK 24.

COTTER: ADAMS 28, STONEY CREEK 14.

TIM: ADAMS 42, STONEY CREEK 21.

DUNLAP: ADAMS 42, STONEY CREEK 7.

STICK: ADAMS 24, STONEY CREEK 14.

North Farmington at 2. West Bloomfield: These are two teams that are heading in opposite directions coming into this game. The Lakers are rolling and gaining confidence heading into their Division One State title defense. West Bloomfield earned a 56-27 blowout win over Southfield Arts and Tech last week. The Raiders playoff hopes took a huge hit after getting upset 41-34 by Seaholm last week. They have lost four straight since leading Oak Park 17-0 and haven't been the same since. North Farmington still has this game and Traverse City Central looming so there is an opportunity there to save their season if they can win out. It won’t be easy for sure in the Swamp.

MR SANDY DUNES: WEST BLOOMFIELD 42, NORTH FARMINGTON 21.

BURNEY: WEST BLOOMFIELD 38, NORTH FARMINGTON 26.

COTTER: WEST BLOOMFIELD 42, NORTH FARMINGTON 14.

TIM: WEST BLOOMFIELD 35, NORTH FARMINGTON 21.

DUNLAP: WEST BLOOMFIELD 28, NORTH FARMINGTON 17.

STICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD 33, NORTH FARMINGTON 20.

Groves at 3. Clarkston: This week is Clarkston’s homecoming and the Wolves have been rolling. Ethan Clark and Mike DePillo combined for six touchdowns in a 50-22 blowout of Lake Orion last week. The Falcons have had a really long season. They have had several injuries to key players as well. Groves lost 24-7 to Adams last week. This could get very ugly real fast.

MR SANDY DUNES: CLARKSTON 56, GROVES 7.

BURNEY: CLARKSTON 32, GROVES 18.

COTTER: CLARKSTON 45, GROVES 14.

TIM: CLARKSTON 42, GROVES 14.

DUNLAP: CLARKSTON 35, GROVES 7.

STICK: CLARKSTON 34, GROVES 20.

8. Troy at 4. Berkley: The Colts are undefeated at 7-0 but as mentioned their biggest challenges are looming in the final three weeks of the season and this is the second biggest challenge of the season. They are coming off a huge 21-20 victory over Troy Athens after trailing 20-7 in the fourth quarter last week. They head to Hurley Field to take on a Bears team that has been rolling since losing 13-10 to Bloomfield Hills. Berkley sits at 6-1 is coming off an emotional 36-33 victory last week over Livonia Clarenceville. There is a lot of star power coming into this game. The quarterback matchup between Zach Morrice and Max Stromberg is very interesting along with the individual matchup between Jake Domzalski and Darius Whiteside. This has the makings of a very good football game.

MR SANDY DUNES: BERKLEY 34, TROY 30.

BURNEY: TROY 29, BERKLEY 27.

COTTER: BERKLEY 21, TROY 10.

TIM: TROY 28, BERKLEY 21.

DUNLAP: TROY 24, BERKLEY 14.

STICK: TROY 24, BERKLEY 21.

5. Rochester at 6. Oxford: This might be the game of the year for both teams especially when it comes to playoff positioning.  Both teams need to win this game in the worst way. They are very resilient and have very talented quarterbacks in Alex Bueno and Brady Carpenter. The Falcons have been on fire since their 49-10 blowout loss to Adams. They are coming off a 23-22 victory last week over Oak Park. The Wildcats are red hot. They have won three straight road games including a 27-26 overtime win at Stoney Creek last week. This should be a very fun game on the blue turf.

MR SANDY DUNES: OXFORD 31, ROCHESTER 28.

BURNEY: OXFORD 27, ROCHESTER 23.

COTTER: OXFORD 35, ROCHESTER 31.

TIM: ROCHESTER 28, OXFORD 21.

DUNLAP: OXFORD 21, ROCHESTER 20.

STICK: ROCHESTER 31, OXFORD 21.

7. Bloomfield Hills at Royal Oak: This looks to be a mismatch on paper with a red hot team taking on a no so hot team. It’s been a long year for the Ravens which included a 35-21 loss to Avondale last week. The Blackhawks have been rolling and a lot of credit has to go to quarterback CJ Jackson. Jackson has led Bloomfield Hills to a 7-0 start. The Blackhawks still concern me as mentioned last week with the schedule. They should get by this game and get ready for an even bigger game next week.

MR SANDY DUNES: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 49, ROYAL OAK 28.

BURNEY: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 28, ROYAL OAK 26.

COTTER: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 49, ROYAL OAK 14.

TIM: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 35, ROYAL OAK 0.

DUNLAP: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 34, ROYAL OAK 7.

STICK: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 35, ROYAL OAK 27.

Detroit Renaissance at 10. Troy Athens: The Red Hawks haven't been the same since falling to Berkley at Hurley Field three weeks ago. They have lost three straight which included a 21-20 heartbreaker to Troy last week. Troy Athens didn't have a game until Detroit Renaissance called and reached out and vice versa. The Phoenix are 2-4 despite beating Detroit Cass Tech 13-6 a few weeks ago and have really struggled since that game. It should be a very interesting matchup to say the least. This is the first ever matchup between these two schools.

MR SANDY DUNES: TROY ATHENS 35, DETROIT RENAISSANCE 21.

BURNEY: TROY ATHENS 28, DETROIT RENAISSANCE 17.

COTTER: TROY ATHENS 35, DETROIT RENAISSANCE 6.

TIM: TROY ATHENS 35, DETROIT RENAISSANCE 14.

DUNLAP: TROY ATHENS 27, DETROIT RENAISSANCE 17.

STICK: TROY ATHENS 28, DETROIT RENAISSANCE 21.

Seaholm at Lake Orion: It has been a very disappointing season for the Dragons. Lake Orion was blown out by Clarkston 50-22 last week and has allowed over 40 points in four games this season including over 50 against the Wolves and Oxford. It’s their homecoming this week. There are plenty of questions surrounding Lake Orion right now. The Maples are coming off an emotional 41-34 upset over North Farmington on their homecoming last week. The Dragons have not seen a veer team this season even though they are deeper than Seaholm. The Maples are a very resilient group. They will not back down, they believe they can upset Lake Orion.

MR SANDY DUNES: LAKE ORION 56, SEAHOLM 42.

BURNEY: SEAHOLM 31, LAKE ORION 29.

COTTER: LAKE ORION 38, SEAHOLM 7.

TIM: LAKE ORION 28, SEAHOLM 14.

DUNLAP: LAKE ORION 31, SEAHOLM 17.

STICK: LAKE ORION 28, SEAHOLM 14.

Oak Park at Southfield Arts and Tech: It has been a very challenging year for both teams. The Warriors fell 56-27 to West Bloomfield last week. Southfield Arts and Tech has really struggled on the defensive side of the football in the last two weeks. The Knights are coming off a tough 23-22 loss to Rochester last week. Oak Park has been very inconsistent all season. It should be a very interesting game between these two rivals.

MR SANDY DUNES: OAK PARK 34, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 27.

BURNEY: OAK PARK 26, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 25.

COTTER: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 28, OAK PARK 22.

TIM: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 28, OAK PARK 14.

DUNLAP: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 23, OAK PARK 20.

STICK: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 28, OAK PARK 27.

Pontiac at Ferndale: These are two struggling teams that have had very challenging seasons. The Eagles fell 37-6 to Bloomfield Hills last week. The Phoenix fell 50-8 to Farmington last week on their new field. Both teams are very young and inexperienced. Someone needs to get a win this week just for confidence.

MR SANDY DUNES: PONTIAC 24, FERNDALE 21.

BURNEY: FERNDALE 23, PONTIAC 20.

COTTER: FERNDALE 49, PONTIAC 20.

TIM: FERNDALE 28, PONTIAC 7.

DUNLAP: FERNDALE 24, PONTIAC 6.

STICK: FERNDALE 21, PONTIAC 14.

Farmington at Avondale: These are two teams that are starting to figure some things out. Both teams are riding two game winning streaks. The Falcons beat Pontiac 50-8 last week while the Yellow Jackets beat Royal Oak 35-21 last week. Both teams have very good quarterbacks in Dominic Peshel and Jake Herzog. The wildcard is Jacob Sanders and he’s been very good in their two game winning streak. This should be an interesting game to watch.

MR SANDY DUNES: FARMINGTON 31, AVONDALE 20.

BURNEY: AVONDALE 32, FARMINGTON 22.

COTTER: FARMINGTON 28, AVONDALE 21.

TIM: AVONDALE 28, FARMINGTON 7.

DUNLAP: FARMINGTON 21, AVONDALE 17.

STICK: AVONDALE 28, FARMINGTON 21.

Harper Woods vs Warren DeLaSalle at Wayne State: The Pioneers have been rolling after picking up a huge 32-21 win over Allen Park last week. This might be Harper Woods biggest test of the season when they play Warren DeLaSalle. The Pilots beat Detroit University-Detroit Jesuit 44-7 last week and has had wins over Birmingham Brother Rice, Orchard Lake St. Marys, and Novi Detroit Catholic Central. The Pioneers lost 28-14 to the Eaglets a few weeks ago. For Harper Woods to pull off the upset they need huge games from their stars and then some.

MR SANDY DUNES: WARREN DELASALLE 42, HARPER WOODS 21.

BURNEY: WARREN DELASALLE 30, HARPER WOODS 25.

COTTER: WARREN DELASALLE 35, HARPER WOODS 6.

TIM: WARREN DELASALLE 35, HARPER WOODS 28.

DUNLAP: WARREN DELASALLE 28, HARPER WOODS 10.

STICK: WARREN DELASALLE 28, HARPER WOODS 14.
