1. West Bloomfield vs. Warren De LaSalle at Wayne State: This is a huge game for the Pilots if they want to make the playoffs. Warren De LaSalle sits at 5-3 heading into this matchup at Wayne State. The Lakers sit at 7-1 and have been rolling since the fourth quarter of the Lake Orion game (won 59-52 in four OT’s.) West Bloomfield shut out Oxford 48-0 last week on the road. This matchup will be very interesting to see with these two meeting for the first time ever.

SANDY DUNES PICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD 35, WARREN DE LASALLE 28.
DUNLAP PICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD 27, WARREN DE LASALLE 20.
BURNEY PICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD 34, WARREN DE LASALLE 24.

D-ZONE PICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD 24, WARREN DE LASALLE 18.

Monroe at 2. Lake Orion: The Dragons are back with a vengeance especially in the State rankings. Lake Orion sits at 7-1 which is the most wins since the 2013 season. Lake Orion was victorious last week in a shocking 55-21 blowout of Clarkston. The Dragons went to Monroe and beat the Trojans 31-24 last season now it’s Monroe’s turn to come up north to Lake Orion. The Trojans are 3-5 and have suffered some tough losses this season including a 37-14 loss to Temperance Bedford last week. This will be an interesting game to say the least

SANDY DUNES PICK: LAKE ORION 49, MONROE 7.
DUNLAP PICK: LAKE ORION 34, MONROE 7.
BURNEY PICK: LAKE ORION 36, MONROE 17.
STICK PICK: LAKE ORION 35, MONROE 14.
COTTER PICK: LAKE ORION 42, MONROE 7.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK:
D-ZONE PICK: LAKE ORION 56, MONROE 20.

Oxford at 3. Oak Park: The Knights are in a really good place sitting at 7-1 and looking at multiple home playoff games. Oak Park is 1-1 against the Red this season with a win over Clarkston (64-41) and a loss to West Bloomfield (20-14.) They will see another Red opponent this week when the 1-7 Wildcats head to Knight Valley. Oxford has been shut out twice in the last two weeks (48-0 to West Bloomfield and 27-0 to Southfield Arts and Tech.) They have really struggled this season and will look to finish the season on a high note. This should be interesting with two different styles.

SANDY DUNES PICK: OAK PARK 42, OXFORD 0.
DUNLAP PICK: OAK PARK 42, OXFORD 7.
BURNEY PICK: OAK PARK 48, OXFORD 28.
STICK PICK: OAK PARK 42, OXFORD 21.
COTTER PICK: OAK PARK 44, OXFORD 7.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK:
D-ZONE PICK: OAK PARK 42, OXFORD 7.

4. Groves at Brownstown Woodhaven: This is a very interesting matchup shaping up between two state ranked teams in the 8-0 Warriors and the 7-1 Falcons in Brownstown Township. Groves beat Seaholm 35-14 last week. Groves only loss a few weeks ago to Oak Park (26-14.) Brownstown Woodhaven has only been tested once this season and it was a 21-20 win over Allen Park. It will be a very interesting matchup between two playoff teams that could make some noise.

SANDY DUNES PICK: GROVES 31, BROWNSTOWN WOODHAVEN 21.
DUNLAP PICK: GROVES 24, BROWNSTOWN WOODHAVEN 23.
BURNEY PICK: GROVES 29, BROWNSTOWN WOODHAVEN 28.
STICK PICK: GROVES 35, BROWNSTOWN WOODHAVEN 28.
COTTER PICK: GROVES 35, BROWNSTOWN WOODHAVEN 14.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK:
D-ZONE PICK: GROVES 25, BROWNSTOWN WOODHAVEN 19.

5. Adams at 7. Stoney Creek: This is a huge matchup for the Cougars on their home field when it comes to the postseason. Stoney Creek has not made the playoffs since 2013. If the “Armor Up” culture wants to take the next step as a football program then this is the game they need. The Cougars sit at 5-3 after beating Rochester 49-0 last week on the road. The Highlanders sit at 6-2 after beating Southfield Arts and Tech 31-20 last week. This will be very interesting for Stoney Creek, if they win they are in if not then they will have to hope on playoff points.

SANDY DUNES PICK: STONEY CREEK 34, ADAMS 31.
DUNLAP PICK: STONEY CREEK 29, ADAMS 28.
BURNEY PICK: ADAMS 24, STONEY CREEK 20.
STICK PICK: STONEY CREEK 31, ADAMS 28.
COTTER PICK: STONEY CREEK 24, ADAMS 21.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK:
D-ZONE PICK: ADAMS 35, STONEY CREEK 28.

Ypsilanti Lincoln at 6. North Farmington: The Raiders have had a special season thus far. They beat arch rival and previously unbeaten Farmington 13-9 to earn the Blue along with the Farmington Cup as well last week. North Farmington is undefeated at 8-0 for the first time since 1984. They could finish 9-0 for the first time since 1970 with a win over Ypsilanti Lincoln at home. The Railspitters are 2-6 after having a rough season. This is the first meeting between the two schools. Ypsilanti Lincoln fell to Farmington 35-14 a few weeks ago. This looks to be a tough game on paper for the Railspitters against a Raiders team clicking on all cylinders.

SANDY DUNES PICK: NORTH FARMINGTON 42, YPSILANTI LINCOLN 7.
DUNLAP PICK: NORTH FARMINGTON 21, YPSILANTI LINCOLN 7.
BURNEY PICK: NORTH FARMINGTON 29, YPSILANTI LINCOLN 19.
STICK PICK: NORTH FARMINGTON 31, YPSILANTI LINCOLN 14.
COTTER PICK: NORTH FARMINGTON 35, YPSILANTI LINCOLN 0.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK:
D-ZONE PICK: NORTH FARMINGTON 42, YPSILANTI LINCOLN 6.

9. Seaholm at Avondale: The Maples have lost three of their last five games including last week’s 35-14 loss to Groves to sit at 5-3. Seaholm will travel to Auburn Hills to face a 4-4 Yellow Jackets squad that appeared to have snapped out of their funk especially in the second half against Berkley scoring 27 unanswered points to stun the Bears 40-27 last week. This is a big game for playoff dreams for both teams.

SANDY DUNES PICK: SEAHOLM 28, AVONDALE 21.
DUNLAP PICK: SEAHOLM 35, AVONDALE 14.
BURNEY PICK: SEAHOLM 31, AVONDALE 23.
STICK PICK: SEAHOLM 28, AVONDALE 27.
COTTER PICK: SEAHOLM 42, AVONDALE 14.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK:
D-ZONE PICK: SEAHOLM 27, AVONDALE 19.

10. Ferndale at Birmingham Detroit Country Day: This is a gigantic game for the Eagles. If Ferndale can beat an 8-0 Birmingham Detroit Country Day squad, they could sneak into the postseason for a fourth straight year. The Eagles are 4-4 but have won two straight games including last week’s 20-7 win over Royal Oak. The Yellow Jackets have been rolling and have been waiting two years to get a measure of revenge. Ferndale has beaten them twice including a 17-7 win two years ago in Birmingham and 27-14 last year at Ferndale. This one will be interesting to say the least.

SANDY DUNES PICK: BIRMINGHAM DETROIT COUNTRY DAY 35, FERNDALE 31.
DUNLAP PICK: BIRMINGHAM DETROIT COUNTRY DAY 42, FERNDALE 6.
BURNEY PICK: BIRMINGHAM DETROIT COUNTRY DAY 35, FERNDALE 25.
STICK PICK:  BIRMINGHAM DETROIT COUNTRY DAY 31, FERNDALE 14.
COTTER PICK: BIRMINGHAM DETROIT COUNTRY DAY 35, FERNDALE 6.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK:
D-ZONE PICK: BIRMINGHAM DETROIT COUNTRY DAY 24, FERNDALE 10.

Detroit Cass Tech at Clarkston: The Wolves will miss the playoffs for the first time in 16 years after losing 55-21 to Lake Orion last week. Clarkston has dealt with a ton of injuries which is one of the reasons why they sit at 3-5. The Wolves thought they would not have a ninth game this season. That was until Detroit Cass Tech had an opening and a phone call between coaches Kurt Richardson and Thomas Wilcher made it happen. The Technicians didn’t make the Detroit Public School League playoffs after league losses to Detroit Martin Luther King (47-7) and Detroit Renaissance (25-20.) Detroit Cass Tech beat Detroit East English Village 32-0 last week to improve to 4-4 on the season. The Technicians still have an outside shot at making the playoffs for a 12th straight season if they win this game. Detroit Cass Tech has never fared well north of M-59 but we don’t know where the Wolves mindsets are at heading into this game. It will be an interesting game to see over at Clarkston.

SANDY DUNES PICK: CLARKSTON 24, DETROIT CASS TECH 21.
DUNLAP PICK: DETROIT CASS TECH 31, CLARKSTON 17.
BURNEY PICK: CLARKSTON 31, DETROIT CASS TECH 29.
STICK PICK:  CLARKSTON 28, DETROIT CASS TECH 27.
COTTER PICK: CLARKSTON 28, DETROIT CASS TECH 12.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK:
D-ZONE PICK: CLARKSTON 13, DETROIT CASS TECH 6.

Royal Oak at Flint Kearsley: It has been a disappointing year for the Ravens who sit at 2-6. Royal Oak will play on grass this week with a trip to Flint to play a very dangerous Flint Kearsley squad who just lost 38-26 to Brandon last week. The Hornets have a really good quarterback and sit at 6-2 which is the most wins for the program since 1998 when they won 10 games. It could get real ugly quick for the Ravens.

SANDY DUNES PICK: FLINT KEARSLEY 49, ROYAL OAK 0.
DUNLAP PICK: ROYAL OAK 25, FLINT KEARSLEY 20.
BURNEY PICK: ROYAL OAK 24, FLINT KEARSLEY 22.
STICK PICK:  ROYAL OAK 21, FLINT KEARSLEY 20.
COTTER PICK: FLINT KEARSLEY 28, ROYAL OAK 7.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK:
D-ZONE PICK: FLINT KEARSLEY 24, ROYAL OAK 10.

Berkley at Troy: The Colts scored some points last week in scoring 31 points but they gave up 63 in a 63-31 shootout loss to Bloomfield Hills to sit at 0-8 and 2-15 in the last two seasons. Troy’s last win came against Berkley whom they beat 20-12 last season at Hurley Field. The Bears sit at 1-7 coming into this game and 4-23 since 2017. They let a 27-13 halftime lead go to waste and fell 40-27 to Avondale last week. Whoever wins this game will have high hopes heading into next season.

SANDY DUNES PICK: BERKLEY 28, TROY 7.
DUNLAP PICK: BERKLEY 23, TROY 20.
BURNEY PICK: BERKLEY 27, TROY 26.
STICK PICK: BERKLEY 28, TROY 14.
COTTER PICK: TROY 28, BERKLEY 21.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK:
D-ZONE PICK: BERKLEY 13, TROY 0.

Bloomfield Hills at Rochester: It has been a rough season for both of these teams but they have some things in common. They both come in at 1-7, have been injury riddled, and their only victory was over Troy. The Blackhawks put 63 points up last week in a 63-31 victory over the Colts while the Falcons lost 49-0 to Stoney Creek. Someone will finish their season on a bright note with a 2-7 record.

SANDY DUNES PICK: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 56, ROCHESTER 21.
DUNLAP PICK: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 28, ROCHESTER 21.
BURNEY PICK: ROCHESTER 18, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 17.
STICK PICK: ROCHESTER 28, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 21.
COTTER PICK: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 28, ROCHESTER 14.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK:
D-ZONE PICK: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 24, ROCHESTER 7.

Pontiac at Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard: The Phoenix have had a long season sitting at 0-8 and 5-65 since 2011. They were in it with Detroit Leadership Academy before losing 14-6 at Wisner Stadium last week. Pontiac will go to Ann Arbor to play a desperate 4-4 Fighting Irish team that embarrassed them 48-6 last season at Wisner Stadium. This one could be very interesting.

SANDY DUNES PICK: ANN ARBOR FATHER GABRIEL RICHARD 27, PONTIAC 6.
DUNLAP PICK:  ANN ARBOR FATHER GABRIEL RICHARD 31, PONTIAC 6.
BURNEY PICK: ANN ARBOR FATHER GABRIEL RICHARD 30, PONTIAC 10.
STICK PICK: ANN ARBOR FATHER GABRIEL RICHARD 28, PONTIAC 7.
COTTER PICK: ANN ARBOR FATHER GABRIEL RICHARD 42, PONTIAC 6.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK:
D-ZONE PICK: ANN ARBOR FATHER GABRIEL RICHARD 42, PONTIAC 0.

River Rouge at Southfield Arts and Tech: This is a must win game for the Warriors if they want to get into the postseason. River Rouge beat Southfield Arts and Tech 45-0 last season at home. Many of the Warriors players and coaches haven’t forgotten that feeling finishing at 3-6 that season. Southfield Arts and Tech comes in at 4-4 after losing 31-20 to Adams last week. The Panthers stunned Novi Detroit Catholic Central 16-3 at home last week to go to 7-1 on the season. The Warriors will have their hands full despite being at home. If they win they should be in at 5-4 but if not then they will miss the playoffs for a third straight season.

SANDY DUNES PICK: RIVER ROUGE 28, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 20.
DUNLAP PICK: RIVER ROUGE 22, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 20.
BURNEY PICK: RIVER ROUGE 45, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 42.
STICK PICK:  SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 35, RIVER ROUGE 34.
COTTER PICK: RIVER ROUGE 26, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 14.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK:
D-ZONE PICK: RIVER ROUGE 17, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 7.

Pontiac Notre Dame Prep at Troy Athens: The Red Hawks are in much better shape than they were last season when they went 1-8. Troy Athens is 3-5 on the year but their opponent this week will be a tough one in Pontiac Notre Dame Prep. The Irish are 7-1 on the season and are back in the playoffs after a one year absence. They haven’t lost to a Michigan squad this year (Lost 34-23 to Noblesville Guerin Catholic in Indiana.) It will be a tough matchup for the Red Hawks to close out the season.

SANDY DUNES PICK: PONTIAC NOTRE DAME PREP 42, TROY ATHENS 14.
DUNLAP PICK: PONTIAC NOTRE DAME PREP 31, TROY ATHENS 17.
BURNEY PICK: PONTIAC NOTRE DAME PREP 33, TROY ATHENS 21.
STICK PICK: PONTIAC NOTRE DAME PREP 28, TROY ATHENS 21.
COTTER PICK: PONTIAC NOTRE DAME PREP 28, TROY ATHENS 7.
