Boys Soccer Regional Preview.

Written Monday October 24th at 9:45 PM

Here are my previews and predictions whom will come out of these two regional matchups.

Division One.

Region 3 @ Troy Athens.

Grosse Pointe North vs Macomb Dakota
Warren De La Salle vs TROY ATHENS

Thoughts: When I look at this regional the favorites have to be the hosts. The Red Hawks are a top five soccer team but Warren De La Salle will give Troy Athens problems, they have won six straight games. Macomb Dakota is a dangerous team on the other side of the matchup and should be waiting the winner of the Pilots/Red Hawks matchup.

Prediction: I like Troy Athens winning this regional. The Red Hawks are at home and will do well within their surroundings.

Region 4 @ Stoney Creek

SEAHOLM vs Grand Blanc
ROCHESTER vs Hartland

Thoughts: The Maples are riding high after winning the Troy district but they could get a dose of reality when they play Grand Blanc. The Bobcats won their district with ease, expect them to try to put their dominance on full display. The Falcons have come out of nowhere and could be a surprise contender. Rochester will have to deal with Hartland. The Eagles won their own district beating Walled Lake Central. This will be a wide-open regional.

Prediction: I like Grand Blanc to come out of this regional but keep an eye on Hartland. Seaholm and Rochester could make surprise runs but the two KLAA opponents have a planet of experience.
