When the Pioneers enter the OAA this winter. They will need a new boys basketball coach.
Harper Woods coach Brandon Jenkins stepped down a few weeks ago from the program according to MIPrepZone's Scott Burnstein.
It was a very rough season for the Pioneers last season going 4-9 with a very young team. Jenkins went 14-19 in his two seasons coaching at Harper Woods. The Pioneers have a ton of experience coming back. They could be one of the favorites in the Gold this winter.
There were a ton of rumors according to Burnstein that Ferndale coach Juan Rickman would become the new coach at Harper Woods which was not the case at all.
The reason why the rumors were crazy was because most of the people Rickman worked with at Detroit East English Village Prep are at Harper Woods.
Rickman said to Burnstein that he is happy and it's business as usual at Ferndale.
It will be interesting to see who coaches at Harper Woods when they enter the OAA this winter.
Stay tuned to OAA Now for the latest on this developing story.
