Volleyball Top 10.

Written Monday September 28th at 11:15 AM.

1. Clarkston- Wolves led by Abby Malanowski, Maggie Collins, Emma Curd, and the emergence of Grace Kraft have two big matches this week with Stoney Creek on Tuesday and Orion on Thursday

2. Orion- Dragons must win the big game to overcome their demons. Have two tough games with Bloomfield Hills on Tuesday and the big one Thursday with Clarkston.

3. Seaholm- The Maples know their top challenges come in October when they go to Clarkston and host Orion. Think the Maple Forest will be ready.

4. Harrison- Hawks are the most quietest team no one is talking about. They are good and could win the White this season. I'm curious how they would do against the Red.

5. Stoney Creek- Cougars didn't look good against Orion a few weeks ago and they struggled at home against Bloomfield Hills. Just going through one of those things lately where the good and bad come at the same time.

6. Bloomfield Hills- Blackhawks took Stoney Creek to five games and have gotten better. They have Orion on their new court this week.

7. Troy- Emerging freshman Jessica Robinson has been destroying stat sheets everywhere for coach Vince Muscat's Colts. The Red has been tough so far but in non league, Troy has been rolling.

8. Avondale- Yellow Jackets finally starting to play together as a team. Could be the dark horse in the White.

9. West Bloomfield- Lakers were very impressive in sweeping Troy Athens on Thursday.

10. Oxford- Wildcats had sort of a bounce back stepping out of league play after losing to Seaholm on Thursday night by winning their own invitational.

During my time in Orion I was a manager for Junior Varsity Boys Basketball team. I'm the volleyball, girls basketball, and football announcer for the team and do the book on the road for girls basketball. I do the clock for volleyball in the fall along with girls basketball in the winter and announce some boys basketball games as well. In the spring I coach shot-put at Scripps Middle School, in my fifth season coaching. I run the shot-put for high school meets. I played Special Olympics Basketball, I've won three gold medals for them. I host "Between Taorminas" which is on ONTV along with a podcast called "OAA Now". In other various things outside of Lake Orion, I love to jet ski over Saginaw Bay. Saginaw Bay is basically my life.
