OAA Recap: Week Two.

Written September 4th 2015 9:48pm

INSIDE THE OAA TOP 10:

1.  West Bloomfield

2.  Southfield

3. Harrison

4. Groves

5. Adams

6. Clarkston

7. Troy Athens

8. Farmington

9. Avondale

10. Oxford

BIG WIN: Oxford: The Wildcats needed a bounce back win after being destroyed by Romeo last week and they got it by going into Rochester and winning at Stoney Creek 21-19. Oxford will have a tough home opener next week as they host Troy Athens who upset Orion on their home field.

TOUGH LOSS: Oak Park: The Knights are in deep trouble after losing on the road to Farmington 20-19. Oak Park still has play Southfield and Harrison at home and travels to Adams. They might miss the playoffs this season if they don’t turn it around.

TEAM THAT NEEDS A HUG: Adams: Why can’t we all be friends for the Highlanders. The 30-17 loss to Southfield and the yelling match at the handshake line between Adams Head Coach Tony Patrino and the Blue Jays Assistant Coach was not going to help things but does further fuel the rivalry that exists between Adams and Southfield.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Orion: The Dragons are in deep trouble and could miss the playoffs for the second straight year after losing at home to Troy Athens 21-14 and falling to 0-2 at this time. The Red Hawks were the better team battering Orion’s offensive line and making the defense look bad on several occasions. It also looked as if Orion was possibly disinterested and perhaps complacent. This was only Athens’s second victory in 24 tries over Orion. The Dragons need to do some soul searching especially with tough games at West Bloomfield, Clarkston, and Oxford looming on the horizon.

About Me

My photo
I have highest function of autism (Asperger Syndrome.) I'm a huge Dallas Stars fan. I like to play and watch football, especially when the Dragons play on Friday nights. I am a 2006 alum and used to play football for the Dragons. I ran track, I ran the 100, 200, 400 meter dashes along with shot-put and discus. During my time in Orion I was a manager for Junior Varsity Boys Basketball team. I'm the volleyball, girls basketball, and football announcer for the team and do the book on the road for girls basketball. I do the clock for volleyball in the fall along with girls basketball in the winter and announce some boys basketball games as well. In the spring I coach shot-put at Scripps Middle School, in my fifth season coaching. I run the shot-put for high school meets. I played Special Olympics Basketball, I've won three gold medals for them. I host "Between Taorminas" which is on ONTV along with a podcast called "OAA Now". In other various things outside of Lake Orion, I love to jet ski over Saginaw Bay. Saginaw Bay is basically my life. I'm a trained weather spotter for the National Weather Service for Oakland and Huron counties.
