OAA Recap: Week Six.

Written Friday October 2nd, at 11:15 PM.

INSIDE THE OAA TOP 10:

1. West Bloomfield

2. Harrison

3. Southfield

4. Clarkston

5. Groves

6. Berkley

7. Lathrup

8. Oak Park

9. Farmington

10. Troy Athens

BIG WIN: Berkley: Anytime you take on one of your arch rivals in Royal Oak you got to gear up for this game and the Bears did that. Berkley beat Royal Oak 34-21 getting its record to 5-1 on the season. They got a big one next week as they travel to Beverly Hills to take on Groves.

TOUGH LOSS: Troy Athens: The Red Hawks ran into a buzz saw in Clarkston with a 28-0 loss. Troy Athens though still control its destiny with a big game next week with Stoney Creek. Both teams will need that game in the worst way possible.

TEAM THAT NEEDS A HUG: Adams: The Highlanders lost three straight home games, including the final one that will likely cost them a trip to the playoffs against Harrison 21-0. Adams needs to win out and pray it can get into the playoffs but I don’t know if it’s possible now.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Orion: Another loss just like Troy Athens, only this time it was to Stoney Creek, same score 21-14. The Dragons did not play well, the defense was awful and the offense wasn’t in sync. The Cougars played the perfect game plan, very similar to what happen in the teams’ JV game in which they played time possession football and Orion made mistakes, that’s what happened here and the Dragons paid for it.

About Me

My photo
I have highest function of autism (Asperger Syndrome.) I'm a huge Dallas Stars fan. I like to play and watch football, especially when the Dragons play on Friday nights. I am a 2006 alum and used to play football for the Dragons. I ran track, I ran the 100, 200, 400 meter dashes along with shot-put and discus. During my time in Orion I was a manager for Junior Varsity Boys Basketball team. I'm the volleyball, girls basketball, and football announcer for the team and do the book on the road for girls basketball. I do the clock for volleyball in the fall along with girls basketball in the winter and announce some boys basketball games as well. In the spring I coach shot-put at Scripps Middle School, in my fifth season coaching. I run the shot-put for high school meets. I played Special Olympics Basketball, I've won three gold medals for them. I host "Between Taorminas" which is on ONTV along with a podcast called "OAA Now". In other various things outside of Lake Orion, I love to jet ski over Saginaw Bay. Saginaw Bay is basically my life. I'm a trained weather spotter for the National Weather Service for Oakland and Huron counties.
