OAA Recap: Week Seven.

Written Saturday October 10th at 10:00 PM

INSIDE THE OAA TOP 10:

1. West Bloomfield

2. Harrison

3. Southfield

4. Clarkston

5. Groves

6. Lathrup

7. Oak Park

8. Troy Athens

9. Berkley

10. North Farmington

BIG WIN: Groves: The Falcons sent a huge statement that they are no joke after a 47-14 beat down of the Berkley Bears. Groves just outplayed the Bears and Berkley had no chance. The Falcons will have a tough test with Ann Arbor Pioneer in two weeks but they now have the Blue all but locked up.

TOUGH LOSS: Stoney Creek: The Cougars had Troy Athens on a fourth down and 15 in their own territory and took the Red Hawks starting quarterback out of the game but only to see Troy Athens score a touchdown late in the game to beat Stoney Creek 10-7 on their homecoming. The Cougars now have four losses while the Red Hawks keep their playoff hopes alive with Troy next week.

TEAM THAT NEEDS A HUG: Seaholm: The Maples had Oak Park beat after scoring a touchdown with a 1:01 left in the game, up 14-13 with no time on the clock and then a 24 yard screen pass for a touchdown keeps the Knights playoff hopes alive with a 19-14 win in Birmingham. Oak Park has a tough match next week with Southfield to keep its quest for a playoff berth alive.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Adams: The Highlanders have been a team of great mystery only to be shutout for eight quarters including a 7-0 loss to North Farmington on its homecoming. This loss might have cracked the cake on its season as they have five losses now. Adams has Rochester at home next week and that’s no give me either.
