OAA Picks. Feb 4,5,6.

Written Wednesday February 3rd at 10:05 PM

Happy early Super Bowl Sunday folks, anyway here are the picks for this weekend's games.

Girls:

Clarkston at Adams: It will be a long night for the Highlanders, they have no answer for Kayla Luchenbach and their size. PICK: CLARKSTON BY 9.

Harrison at Oxford: The Wildcats are getting better and will have a huge size advantage, only if they can slow the game down and match the athleticism of the Hawks. PICK: HARRISON BY 3.

Lathrup at Stoney Creek: The Cougars were no match for the Chargers last month, they are still no match for them this month. PICK: LATHRUP BY 6.

Orion at Bloomfield Hills: Dragons didn’t have Evelyn Wischmeyer in last month’s home loss to the Blackhawks but she will be a difference maker here in this matchup. PICK: ORION BY 3.

West Bloomfield at Royal Oak: Lakers have not been playing well on the road and it will continue here against the Ravens. PICK: ROYAL OAK BY 3.

North Farmington at Troy: This has the makings of yet another blowout loss for the Colts. PICK: NORTH FARMINGTON BY 15.

Berkley at Pontiac: The Bears better beware of the Phoenix this time around at Sy Green Gym. It was a blowout in January but it will be a lot closer than people think. PICK: BERKLEY BY 2.

Groves at Troy Athens: This rematch is interesting, the win over the Red Hawks got the Falcons started last month. Expect Troy Athens to return the favor. PICK: TROY ATHENS BY 4.

Ferndale at Hazel Park: The Vikings have improved recently and will get another win at the Eagles expense. PICK: HAZEL PARK BY 10.

Avondale at Oak Park: Two disappointing teams here but the Knights will show the Yellow Jackets who is boss. PICK: OAK PARK BY 12.

Farmington at Southfield: This will be blowout city. PICK: SOUTHFIELD BY 45.

Rochester at Seaholm: Congrats to Mackenzie Harbort on getting her 1,000 career point at West Bloomfield on Tuesday night. She will continue to own the night for the Maples. PICK: SEAHOLM BY 8.

Detroit Country Day at Lathrup: Two good teams battling here and have talented players on each side of the aisle. Neither team hasn’t lost since December and both the Chargers and Yellow Jackets have played murderous schedules. Expect this Saturday afternoon game will come down to the final minute and it will be the home team prevailing. PICK: LATHRUP BY 1.

Boys Crossovers:

Red vs White

Adams at Pontiac: This will be a great matchup but the question will be if the Highlanders can pressure the Phoenix then they have a great shot at winning but Pontiac has been playing very well as of late. PICK: PONTIAC BY 1.

Clarkston at Avondale: The Wolves will continue to roll in this matchup. PICK: CLARKSTON BY 20.

North Farmington at Bloomfield Hills: Another great matchup here, the Blackhawks shocking lead the White and will host a Raiders team coming off an emotional win over Adams. This one will be close in the new Bloomfield Hills High School. PICK: NORTH FARMINGTON BY 4.

Lathrup at West Bloomfield: The Lakers will get back on track after losing two straight games with a convincing win over the Chargers. PICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD BY 23.

Southfield at Oak Park: Interesting matchup between the two rivals. The Blue Jays have been improving but the Knights are more battle tested than people think. PICK: OAK PARK BY 10.

Troy Athens at Troy: The battle of Troy will be electric at Troy High. The Red Hawks have been struggling as of late. This can’t be any perfect for the Colts to beat them and they will BAD. PICK: TROY BY 15.

Blue vs Gold

Rochester at Hazel Park: This will be a high scoring great matchup in Viking land, both teams like to score a bunch of points. When in doubt, go with the home team close. PICK: HAZEL PARK BY 1.

Stoney Creek at Berkley: The Cougars shall have no problem going into the Bears house and beating Berkley pretty bad. PICK: STONEY CREEK BY 20.

Seaholm at Royal Oak: The Ravens have been playing well as of late and will continue to do so against the Maples who have struggled all year to put points up. PICK: ROYAL OAK BY 15.

Orion at Harrison: The Dragons have been improving and getting better as of late. That process will continue with another win over a very good Hawks team. PICK: ORION BY 10.

Oxford at Ferndale: The Wildcats have been very competitive as of late, their hard work will pay off with a win over the Eagles. PICK: OXFORD BY 9.

Farmington at Groves: The Green Falcons are ticked after losing to Hazel Park. The Blue Falcons looked disinterested on Tuesday against Stoney Creek. It will be the Green Falcons that will prevail here. PICK: GROVES BY 6.
