2. Groves at 1. West Bloomfield: The Lakers had some ups and downs in their game with Oak Park but they managed to survive last week at the Swamp winning 20-14. West Bloomfield will take on a Falcons team that was impressive at Wayne State last week with a 34-21 victory over Grosse Pointe South. This looks to be an interesting matchup but we shall see what happens in the Swamp.

SANDY DUNES PICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD 28, GROVES 7.
DUNLAP PICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD 24, GROVES 21.
BURNEY PICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD 28, GROVES 21.

FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK:WEST BLOOMFIELD 42, GROVES 28.
D-ZONE PICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD over GROVES by 2.

3. Oak Park at Rochester: Last season’s matchup in Knight Valley was nuts as the Knights survived 41-33 over the Falcons. Both teams come into this game at 0-1 with Oak Park falling 20-14 while Rochester was embarrassed 60-24 by Adams last week. It will be tough sledding for whoever starts at 0-2.

SANDY DUNES PICK: OAK PARK 63, ROCHESTER 35.
DUNLAP PICK: OAK PARK 34, ROCHESTER 10.
BURNEY PICK: OAK PARK 40, ROCHESTER 16.
STICK PICK: OAK PARK 48, ROCHESTER 28.
COTTER PICK: OAK PARK 40, ROCHESTER 7.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK: OAK PARK 56, ROCHESTER 0.
D-ZONE PICK: OAK PARK over ROCHESTER by 20.

5. Southfield Arts and Tech at 4. Lake Orion: This will be a clash of two different styles or it's flash vs grit. The Warriors fresh off a 28-14 stunner over Clarkston will look to take their show up to Lake Orion and face a Dragons team that is 6-3 in their last nine games including a 17-7 shocker at Lapeer last week. If the game is flashy and quick, advantage Southfield Arts and Tech. If the game is grit and toughness, advantage Lake Orion. This should be the most interesting matchup in all of Oakland County.

SANDY DUNES PICK: LAKE ORION 24, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 14.
DUNLAP PICK: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 28, LAKE ORION 17.
BURNEY PICK: LAKE ORION 23, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 20.
STICK PICK: LAKE ORION 28, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 27.
COTTER PICK: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 21, LAKE ORION 17.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 35, LAKE ORION 17.
D-ZONE PICK: SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH over LAKE ORION by 4.

Oxford at 6. Adams: The Highlanders had an offensive explosion putting up 60 points against their arch rivals in a shocking 60-24 blowout of Rochester last week. Adams will face an Oxford team that they beat 17-8 last season on the blue turf. The Wildcats lost 41-14 to Romeo last week and will look to get back on track. It will be interesting to see who wins this matchup.

SANDY DUNES PICK: ADAMS 28, OXFORD 21.
DUNLAP PICK: ADAMS 21, OXFORD 14.
BURNEY PICK: ADAMS 45, OXFORD 18.
STICK PICK: ADAMS 31, OXFORD 28.
COTTER PICK: ADAMS 35, OXFORD 14.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK: ADAMS 35, OXFORD 7.
D-ZONE PICK: ADAMS over OXFORD by 7.

Detroit Renaissance at 7. Avondale: This is the first ever meeting between the Yellow Jackets and the Phoenix. Detroit Renaissance lost 26-12 to Harper Woods last week. Avondale kept the Little Brown Jug after shutting out Troy 22-0 last week. Both teams have speed and athleticism. If it comes down to coaching, advantage Yellow Jackets.

SANDY DUNES PICK: AVONDALE 30, DETROIT RENAISSANCE 18.
DUNLAP PICK: AVONDALE 28, DETROIT RENAISSANCE 10.
BURNEY PICK: AVONDALE 24, DETROIT RENAISSANCE 17.

COTTER PICK: AVONDALE 22, DETROIT RENAISSANCE 12.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK: AVONDALE 28, DETROIT RENAISSANCE 6.
D-ZONE PICK: AVONDALE over DETROIT RENAISSANCE by 14.

Berkley at 8. North Farmington: The Raiders got off to a good start against Waterford Kettering but needed to survive to beat the Captains 35-30 last week. Berkley didn’t fair too well against Brandon losing 32-13 last week at Hurley Field. This matchup looks to be a mismatch on paper but it could be closer than the experts predicted.

SANDY DUNES PICK: NORTH FARMINGTON 28, BERKLEY 25.
DUNLAP PICK: NORTH FARMINGTON 21, BERKLEY 7.
BURNEY PICK: NORTH FARMINGTON 33, BERKLEY 19.
STICK PICK: NORTH FARMINGTON 21, BERKLEY 14.
COTTER PICK: NORTH FARMINGTON 35, BERKLEY 6.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK: NORTH FARMINGTON 42, BERKLEY 21.
D-ZONE PICK: NORTH FARMINGTON over BERKLEY BY 7.

Royal Oak at 9. Farmington: The Falcons got their season off on the right track with a 33-6 blowout over Detroit Henry Ford last week while the Ravens were very disappointing in getting shut out 20-0 by St. Clair Shores Lakeview. Royal Oak is in a boatload of trouble heading into this matchup with an experienced Farmington team but then again this is why they play the game.

SANDY DUNES PICK: FARMINGTON 31, ROYAL OAK 0.
DUNLAP PICK: FARMINGTON 35, ROYAL OAK 7.
BURNEY PICK: FARMINGTON 31, ROYAL OAK 15.
STICK PICK: FARMINGTON 24, ROYAL OAK 20.
COTTER PICK: FARMINGTON 35, ROYAL OAK 7.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK: FARMINGTON 35, ROYAL OAK 7.
D-ZONE PICK: FARMINGTON over ROYAL OAK by 7.

Bloomfield Hills at 10. Clarkston: The Wolves were shocked last week by Southfield Arts and Tech 28-14 while the Blackhawks battled back from 26-13 down only to tie the score at 34-34 however lost 37-34 to Utica last week. Bloomfield Hills is going to be an interesting team to keep an eye on but this is a huge game for Clarkston as they look to get back on track, it won’t be as easy as people think.

SANDY DUNES PICK: CLARKSTON 31, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 28.
DUNLAP PICK: CLARKSTON 30, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 14.
BURNEY PICK: CLARKSTON 34, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 22.
STICK PICK: CLARKSTON 31, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 21.
COTTER PICK: CLARKSTON 42, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 7.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK: CLARKSTON 42, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 7.
D-ZONE PICK: CLARKSTON over BLOOMFIELD HILLS by 10.

Seaholm at Stoney Creek: Both of these teams are off to impressive starts. The Maples looked very good in shocking Ferndale 41-6 last week. The Cougars blew out Utica Ford II at Runkel Field 35-0 last week. This should be very interesting to see which team goes to 2-0 on the season.

SANDY DUNES PICK: STONEY CREEK 20, SEAHOLM 17.
DUNLAP PICK: SEAHOLM 17, STONEY CREEK 16.
BURNEY PICK: SEAHOLM 44, STONEY CREEK 14.
STICK PICK: STONEY CREEK 24, SEAHOLM 21.
COTTER PICK: STONEY CREEK 17, SEAHOLM 14.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK: STONEY CREEK 28, SEAHOLM 24.
D-ZONE PICK: STONEY CREEK over SEAHOLM by 3.

Pontiac at Ferndale: It had to be a humbling experience for the Eagles after getting humiliated by Seaholm losing 41-6 last week. Ferndale will face Pontiac who struggled last week losing 41-0 to Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood. It will be interesting to see which team responds to adversity.

SANDY DUNES PICK: FERNDALE 56, PONTIAC 6.
DUNLAP PICK: FERNDALE 42, PONTIAC 6.
BURNEY PICK: FERNDALE 23, PONTIAC 10.
STICK PICK: FERNDALE 20, PONTIAC 7.
COTTER PICK: FERNDALE 49, PONTIAC 6.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK: FERNDALE 49, PONTIAC 6.
D-ZONE PICK: FERNDALE over PONTIAC by 10.

Troy at Troy Athens: It’s odd to see a rivalry game early like the battle of Troy will happen. The Red Hawks won over the Colts 31-0 at Troy last season. Troy Athens won 33-6 over Detroit Old Redford Academy last week. The Colts lost 22-0 at Avondale last week. It seems that there is one team going up while the other is going down.

SANDY DUNES PICK: TROY ATHENS 28, TROY 0.
DUNLAP PICK: TROY ATHENS 24, TROY 10.
BURNEY PICK: TROY 21, TROY ATHENS 20.

FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK: TROY ATHENS 28, TROY 7.
D-ZONE PICK: TROY ATHENS over TROY by 2.
