Week Thirteen Picks.

Welcome to the 2018 OAA football season. We will pick games this season with my good friends in the media this season, here are the pickers for the season. Groves vs Warren De LaSalle at Hazel Park

This will be the first ever meeting between the Falcons and the Pilots. Both teams common opponents have been Oak Park which Groves played them early losing 13-7 while Warren De LaSalle took on the Knights two weeks ago which they won 35-7. The Falcons have been scoring in bunches including a 53-29 win last week over Livonia Franklin. The Pilots have been shutting people down lately including two weeks ago against Oak Park and last week’s 21-3 win over Port Huron Northern. It will be an interesting matchup between the two teams as the winner will meet either Muskegon Mona Shores or Midland.

Clarkston vs Saline at Okemos

This is a rematch of the 2015 State Final which the Wolves won 33-25 at Ford Field but it will take place at Okemos as the Hornets and Clarkston get together. Saline won 13-12 in overtime over Rockford last week while the Wolves went into Lapeer and beat the Lightning 13-0 last week. Whomever makes the least mistakes will head to Ford Field to take on either Chippewa Valley or Belleville.

I have highest function of autism (Asperger Syndrome.) I'm a huge Dallas Stars fan. I like to play and watch football, especially when the Dragons play on Friday nights. I am a 2006 alum and used to play football for the Dragons. I ran track, I ran the 100, 200, 400 meter dashes along with shot-put and discus. During my time in Orion I was a manager for Junior Varsity Boys Basketball team. I'm the volleyball, girls basketball, and football announcer for the team and do the book on the road for girls basketball. I do the clock for volleyball in the fall along with girls basketball in the winter and announce some boys basketball games as well. In the spring I coach shot-put at Scripps Middle School, in my fifth season coaching. I run the shot-put for high school meets. I played Special Olympics Basketball, I've won three gold medals for them. I host "Between Taorminas" which is on ONTV along with a podcast called "OAA Now". In other various things outside of Lake Orion, I love to jet ski over Saginaw Bay. Saginaw Bay is basically my life. I'm a trained weather spotter for the National Weather Service for Oakland and Huron counties.
