Written Friday May 1st at 10:05 PM

Hello all hope everyone is hanging in there in wake of this coronavirus outbreak that cost us spring sports. The MHSAA released the playoff divisions for football season. I won’t go deep into these teams questions or project anything. These are my early thoughts.

TEAMS I FEEL CONFIDENT FROM A SCHEDULE PERSPECTIVE.

Lake Orion (Red)
West Bloomfield (Red)
Oxford (Red)

TEAMS I’M OK WITH SCHEDULE WISE.

Southfield Arts and Tech (Red)
Adams (White)
Oak Park (Red)
North Farmington (White)

TEAMS THAT I’M CONCERNED WITH.

Stoney Creek (White)
Troy Athens (Blue)
Clarkston (Red)
Groves (White)
Seaholm (White)
Ferndale (Blue)
Farmington (White)

TEAMS WITH SCHEDULE THAT COULD HURT THEM.

Pontiac (Blue)
Royal Oak (Blue)
Avondale (Blue)
Berkley (Blue)
Rochester (Blue)
Bloomfield Hills (Blue)
Troy (Blue)

THOUGHTS: When I look at the schedules I think Lake Orion, West Bloomfield, and Oxford have really tough schedules. I can see these three squads playoff bound early. I’m really concerned about several teams especially those who have to play Division Three opponents even though Oak Park is playing a Division Three opponent but that team is Orchard Lake St. Marys. Some like Groves and Seaholm plays a balance of Division One and Division One teams. Stoney Creek, Troy Athens, and Clarkston are D1 teams that has a Division Three opponent. Schedule wise I think my thoughts are pretty straight forward. I will further explain more once my podcast comes up and running again.

Here is the MHSAA Playoff  Divisions.

About Me

My photo
I have highest function of autism (Asperger Syndrome.) I'm a huge Dallas Stars fan. I like to play and watch football, especially when the Dragons play on Friday nights. I am a 2006 alum and used to play football for the Dragons. I ran track, I ran the 100, 200, 400 meter dashes along with shot-put and discus. During my time in Orion I was a manager for Junior Varsity Boys Basketball team. I'm the volleyball, girls basketball, and football announcer for the team and do the book on the road for girls basketball. I do the clock for volleyball in the fall along with girls basketball in the winter and announce some boys basketball games as well. In the spring I coach shot-put at Scripps Middle School, in my fifth season coaching. I run the shot-put for high school meets. I played Special Olympics Basketball, I've won three gold medals for them. I host "Between Taorminas" which is on ONTV along with a podcast called "OAA Now". In other various things outside of Lake Orion, I love to jet ski over Saginaw Bay. Saginaw Bay is basically my life. I'm a trained weather spotter for the National Weather Service for Oakland and Huron counties.
