Warren De LaSalle 28, GROVES 0
The Falcons couldn’t overcome the Pilots on Saturday
afternoon against Warren De LaSalle at Hazel Park with their defense shutting
Groves high octane offense down limiting them to less than 100 yards and
shutting them out. The Pilots got two interceptions that led to touchdowns and
a punt return that set the tone of the game. The Falcons couldn’t get anything
going offensively and had trouble throughout the game. Groves finishes the season at
10-3 which ties their best mark a few seasons ago.
CLARKSTON 21, Saline 3
The Wolves used their playoff experience at Okemos against
Saline on Saturday afternoon and it was used to perfection. Clarkston was not
flashy but effective throughout the game shutting the Hornets down to three
points and getting two fourth down stops deep in the red zone. The Wolves
outrushed Saline 224-58 on the ground. Clarkston returns to Ford Field for the
second straight season and will look to earn their fourth State title in six
years next weekend when they play Chippewa Valley on Saturday afternoon.
