BIG WIN: Troy Athens: The Red Hawks got their first win of the season beating Troy 31-0 at Troy. Troy Athens played with nothing to lose and everything to gain and they did just that. It’s a huge win for coach Billy Keenest and his program. The Red Hawks will host Oxford next week.

TOUGH LOSS: Oak Park: This might be the best thing to happen to the Knights even though they lost 27-21 to West Bloomfield in Knight Valley. Oak Park has been grooving lately maybe this wakes them up and gets them ready for the playoffs. The Knights will go to Clarkston next week to play the Wolves.

TEAM THAT SENT A STATEMENT: Groves: The Falcons clinched a trip to the playoffs with a 25-6 victory over Harrison. Groves dominated in all phases of the game. The Falcons will host Seaholm in a big matchup next week that could decide who has home field advantage.

TEAM THAT’S IN TROUBLE: Farmington: The Falcons lost their chance at the Blue title after losing in Birmingham to Seaholm 21-0. Farmington may be in the playoffs but they have a tough schedule starting with Harrison next week before they get to the postseason.

WHAT HAPPENED? Troy: Where has the Colts been after getting shutout by a combined 69-0 in the last two weeks including losing 31-0 to their arch rivals. Troy has some serious problems they need to address. The Colts will play Berkley next week to conclude their season.

TEAM THAT NEEDS A HUG: Bloomfield Hills Student Section at Oxford: The Blackhawks student section who made the trip up to Oxford in the rain only to see their team get destroyed by the Wildcats 56-17 on Friday night. I give them praise for everything they have done and endeared.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME: Rochester: What the heck happened to the Falcons on Friday night against Stoney Creek??? Rochester whom lost several tough ball games and they get shutout by the Cougars 25-0. I am puzzled by this game, I couldn’t believe what I saw with the Falcons.

I have highest function of autism (Asperger Syndrome.) I'm a huge Dallas Stars fan. I like to play and watch football, especially when the Dragons play on Friday nights. I am a 2006 alum and used to play football for the Dragons. I ran track, I ran the 100, 200, 400 meter dashes along with shot-put and discus. During my time in Orion I was a manager for Junior Varsity Boys Basketball team. I'm the volleyball, girls basketball, and football announcer for the team and do the book on the road for girls basketball. I do the clock for volleyball in the fall along with girls basketball in the winter and announce some boys basketball games as well. In the spring I coach shot-put at Scripps Middle School, in my fifth season coaching. I run the shot-put for high school meets. I played Special Olympics Basketball, I've won three gold medals for them. I host "Between Taorminas" which is on ONTV along with a podcast called "OAA Now". In other various things outside of Lake Orion, I love to jet ski over Saginaw Bay. Saginaw Bay is basically my life. I'm a trained weather spotter for the National Weather Service for Oakland and Huron counties.
