BIG WIN: Stoney Creek: Cameron Burford and offensive line was the difference maker in the Cougars 28-21 victory over Chippewa Valley on Friday night. Burford went nuts with 44 carries for 250 rushing yards and three touchdowns. He also got a pick as well late in the first half. Ryan Echout had a huge game as well especially throwing for a passing touchdown on a fourth down and 16 from 28 yards out. It’s the first postseason win for Stoney Creek. The Cougars will move on and host Romeo who had a very controversial 15-14 win over Macomb Dakota next week.

TOUGH LOSS: Southfield Arts and Tech: I got to give the Warriors props for battling in this game with Sterling Heights Stevenson on Friday night. Southfield Arts and Tech forced the Titans to go to a Wing T even though they fell 19-14 on Friday night. It tells you how good the Warriors can be. Southfield Arts and Tech will be back in the mix next season.

WHAT HAPPENED? Clarkston: Grand Blanc proved that they belong in the OAA after putting 42 points on the Wolves and putting 28 on Lake Orion prior. The Bobcats beat the Wolves in the air all night which resulted in a 42-35 win on Friday night. Clarkston loses a ton of experience up front but they have several skill players coming back as well.

TEAM THAT MADE A STATEMENT: Oak Park: The Knights made a huge statement by beating Detroit University-Detroit Jesuit 27-21 on Friday afternoon. Oak Park is basically on a revenge tour and they should be motivated next week when they head to Wyandotte. It was Wyandotte that beat the Knights in 2012.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Berkley: I was disappointed on Friday night with the Bears when they lost 49-14 to Warren Mott on Friday night. Berkley was just outmatched against the Marauders bottom line. The Bears made a ton of huge strides this season and they have a lot of talent coming back next season.

I have highest function of autism (Asperger Syndrome.) I'm a huge Dallas Stars fan. I like to play and watch football, especially when the Dragons play on Friday nights. I am a 2006 alum and used to play football for the Dragons. I ran track, I ran the 100, 200, 400 meter dashes along with shot-put and discus. During my time in Orion I was a manager for Junior Varsity Boys Basketball team. I'm the volleyball, girls basketball, and football announcer for the team and do the book on the road for girls basketball. I do the clock for volleyball in the fall along with girls basketball in the winter and announce some boys basketball games as well. In the spring I coach shot-put at Scripps Middle School, in my fifth season coaching. I run the shot-put for high school meets. I played Special Olympics Basketball, I've won three gold medals for them. I host "Between Taorminas" which is on ONTV along with a podcast called "OAA Now". In other various things outside of Lake Orion, I love to jet ski over Saginaw Bay. Saginaw Bay is basically my life.
