BIG WIN: Clarkston: The Wolves battled with a depleted roster on homecoming against Southfield Arts and Tech. They went into overtime and got a touchdown and went two on a gutsy call from coach Kurt Richardson. The move paid off as freshman running back Ethan Clark scored the winning two point score to send the Clarkston faithful happy in a 22-21 overtime victory on Friday night. The win saved the Wolves season putting them at 3-3 and sending the Warriors to 3-3 as well. Clarkston heads to Adams next week while Southfield Arts and Tech hosts Oxford.

TOUGH LOSS: Rochester: The Falcons and Red Hawks have a rivalry. Rochester beat Troy Athens 27-20 in overtime last season in Troy. This season it was the Red Hawks that went into Rochester and beat the Falcons 44-38 in triple overtime ruining their homecoming. Troy Athens sits at 3-3 while Rochester falls to 1-5 on the season. The Red Hawks will host Seaholm next week while the Falcons travel to Lake Orion to play the Dragons.

WHAT HAPPENED: Adams: What happened to the Highlanders??? Adams did not play well against West Bloomfield and it showed with the Lakers winning 30-6 on Friday night in the Swamp on homecoming night. Donovan Edwards had an outstanding game against a stout Highlanders defense scoring three touchdowns. Adams offense has been a problem since the Lake Orion game, they have only scored 50 points since their 36-31 loss to the Dragons in week three. The Highlanders sit at 4-2 on the season and will host Clarkston next week. West Bloomfield sits at 5-1 hosts Bloomfield Hills next week.

TEAM THAT NEED A HUG: Seaholm: The Maples lost their second straight game on Friday night to Oak Park 41-21. Seaholm was in it most of the game but it wasn’t enough against an explosive Knights team. The Maples sit at 4-2 and plays at Troy Athens next week while Oak Park who is 5-1 hosts Troy.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME: Royal Oak: I had a feeling that this was coming with the Ravens. Royal Oak fell to North Farmington 42-8 on their homecoming. The Ravens now are 1-5 on the season and will play Pontiac next week while North Farmington is 6-0 for the first time since 1988 plays Okemos next week.

TEAM THAT ME SHAKE MY HEAD: Troy: The Colts are scoreless for the sixth straight game as they were shutout by Groves 49-0. Troy who is 0-6 has Oak Park next week while the Falcons who are 5-1 plays Stoney Creek next week.
