MR. SANDY DUNES 56-18

BURNEY 49-25

COTTER 59-15

TIM 53-21

DUNLAP 59-15

STICK 54-20

Groves at 1. Adams: The Highlanders picked up an emotional 28-21 overtime win at Ron Holland Field last week. Adams is rolling at the right time which is a good thing for them. The Falcons had a tough loss to Rochester 32-22 on their home field last week. Stavons Panos has really been playing well for Groves. Jaden Magnum should the key in this game for the Falcons. It should be a very interesting game in front of “The Gold Rush.”

MR SANDY DUNES: ADAMS 56, GROVES 31.

BURNEY: ADAMS 40, GROVES 22.

COTTER: ADAMS 45, GROVES 7.

TIM: ADAMS 42, GROVES 21.

DUNLAP: ADAMS 42, GROVES 10.

STICK: ADAMS 35, GROVES 21.

2. West Bloomfield at Southfield Arts and Tech: This is a gigantic game for the Warriors if they want to keep their postseason hopes alive. Southfield Arts and Tech lost 49-42 to Oxford last week. The Lakers are coming off an emotional 35-28 overtime win over Clarkston. There is a lot of star power on both sides with West Bloomfield having Dillion Tatum, Amir Herring, Requan Nance, and company while Southfield Arts and Tech has Isiah Marshall. This should be a very interesting game on 10 Mile and Lahser Road.

MR SANDY DUNES: WEST BLOOMFIELD 42, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 35.

BURNEY: WEST BLOOMFIELD 36, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 22.

COTTER: WEST BLOOMFIELD 31, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 21.

TIM: WEST BLOOMFIELD 42, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 14.

DUNLAP: WEST BLOOMFIELD 31, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 13.

STICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD 27, SOUTHFIELD ARTS AND TECH 21.

Lake Orion at 3. Clarkston: This has been a one sided rivalry as of late between these two schools. Lake Orion has beaten Clarkston once since 2010. The Wolves came off an emotional 35-28 overtime loss to West Bloomfield last week in the Swamp. The Dragons have been playing much better in the last two weeks. They picked up a huge 24-7 win over Stoney Creek at home last week. It’s whose style of play shows up in this game. It's the Wolves pink out game. This game should be very interesting to find out.

MR SANDY DUNES: LAKE ORION 28, CLARKSTON 24.

BURNEY: CLARKSTON 35, LAKE ORION 27.

COTTER: CLARKSTON 31, LAKE ORION 14.

TIM: CLARKSTON 35, LAKE ORION 14.

DUNLAP: CLARKSTON 28, LAKE ORION 17.

STICK: CLARKSTON 28, LAKE ORION 20.

4. Berkley at Livonia Clarenceville: This will be the Bears biggest test of the season when they travel to Livonia to play an unbeaten Trojans team. Livonia Clarenceville has been a scoring machine averaging over 30 points a game and have only allowed 69 points all season. Berkley has really improved since their 13-10 loss to Bloomfield Hills in week one. If the Bears can get this one this might help a lot of teams if not then it’s the Trojans biggest win of the season. Big game atmosphere looms in Wayne County.

MR SANDY DUNES: BERKLEY 48, LIVONIA CLARENCEVILLE 45.

BURNEY: BERKLEY 28, LIVONIA CLARENCEVILLE 18.

COTTER: BERKLEY 31, LIVONIA CLARENCEVILLE 14.

TIM: LIVONIA CLARENCEVILLE 35, BERKLEY 7.

DUNLAP: BERKLEY 31, LIVONIA CLARENCEVILLE 21.

STICK: BERKLEY 28, LIVONIA CLARENCEVILLE 14.

Oak Park at 5. Rochester: This is a trap game for the Falcons even though this is their homecoming game I think. Rochester has won two straight games including last week's 32-22 win in Beverly Hills. They have proven that they belong in the White. The Knights have been here and been through it all. Oak Park has been very inconsistent this season despite winning 20-6 over Seaholm last week. The pressure has to be on the Falcons, they are at home. The Knights are playing with nothing to lose.

MR SANDY DUNES: ROCHESTER 42, OAK PARK 36.

BURNEY: OAK PARK 34, ROCHESTER 28.

COTTER: ROCHESTER 28, OAK PARK 12.

TIM: ROCHESTER 35, OAK PARK 14.

DUNLAP: OAK PARK 24, ROCHESTER 23.

STICK: ROCHESTER 24, OAK PARK 16.

Seaholm at 6. North Farmington: This is an interesting matchup of two teams that are struggling. The Raiders are coming off a very tough 28-21 overtime loss to Adams last week at Ron Holland Field. North Farmington has not been the same team since leading Oak Park 17-0 in the middle of the second quarter. The Maples have really struggled. They were competitive despite falling 20-6 to Oak Park last week. I don’t know how this game will go but we’ll see what happens.

MR SANDY DUNES: NORTH FARMINGTON 42, SEAHOLM 7.

BURNEY: NORTH FARMINGTON 26, SEAHOLM 25.

COTTER: NORTH FARMINGTON 35, SEAHOLM 7.

TIM: NORTH FARMINGTON 49, SEAHOLM 7.

DUNLAP: NORTH FARMINGTON 28, SEAHOLM 10.

STICK: NORTH FARMINGTON 24, SEAHOLM 14.

8. Oxford at 7. Stoney Creek: This is a game I’m looking forward too. The Wildcats have been playing much better football which included two road wins including last week’s 49-42 shootout victory over Southfield Arts and Tech. Brady Carpenter, Trent Myre, Mitch Vivano and company have been playing outstanding football. They should be tested against a very talented running back in Cam Fogler. The Cougars lost 24-7 to Lake Orion last week. Stoney Creek has always been good at home and this has been a developing rivalry in the past. Expect this game to be fun to watch.

MR SANDY DUNES: OXFORD 20, STONEY CREEK 17.

BURNEY: OXFORD 24, STONEY CREEK 23.

COTTER: OXFORD 25, STONEY CREEK 21.

TIM: STONEY CREEK 28, OXFORD 21.

DUNLAP: OXFORD 17, STONEY CREEK 10.

STICK: OXFORD 24, STONEY CREEK 21.

9. Troy at Troy Athens: The Colts should be more than motivated to play their arch rivals known as “The School Down the Road.” Troy has really struggled against their arch rivals from John R Road. They have been outscored 104-0 in the last three years and are 3-7 against them since 2011. The Colts are a much different team than the teams in the past. They have had a week to prepare for this game. The Red Hawks are coming off a tough 31-14 homecoming loss to Bloomfield Hills last week. This is a rivalry game, you throw the records out the window and just play. This is shaping up to be a very good game.

MR SANDY DUNES: TROY ATHENS 31, TROY 14.

BURNEY: TROY ATHENS 31, TROY 27.

COTTER: TROY 17, TROY ATHENS 14.

TIM: TROY 35, TROY ATHENS 28.

DUNLAP: TROY 27, TROY ATHENS 20.

STICK: TROY 31, TROY ATHENS 28.

Ferndale at 10. Bloomfield Hills: It's homecoming week at Bloomfield Hills and I've been getting a ton of hate tweets on Twitter from Bloomfield Hills students and supporters on why I have them ranked 10th despite the 6-0 start after their emotional 31-14 win over Troy Athens last week. The Blackhawks remind me of the 2007 Kansas Jayhawks where they went undefeated until they ran into Missouri when they fell 35-28. The loss to the Tigers cost them a trip to the National Championship Game and also the Big 12 North. They have a solid quarterback in CJ Jackson whom has had a strong season. Jackson has a lot of Todd Reesing in him. He is a duel threat quarterback. Bloomfield Hills likely won’t be tested against Ferndale. The Eagles really struggled in a 47-6 blowout road loss to Walled Lake Western last week. I really don’t see the Blackhawks get tested until they play Troy in two weeks then the playoffs start and I have concerns as shown in my column.

MR SANDY DUNES: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 28, FERNDALE 6.

BURNEY: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 28, FERNDALE 19.

COTTER: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 49, FERNDALE 6.

TIM: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 35, FERNDALE 7.

DUNLAP: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 42, FERNDALE 0.

STICK: BLOOMFIELD HILLS 28, FERNDALE 14.

Farmington at Pontiac: I am really excited to see the new stadium that Pontiac has with Farmington. The Phoenix have been out for two weeks because of COVID-19 protocols but they should be cleared and ready to go for this game. The Falcons picked up their first win under Jason Albrecht by beating Royal Oak 33-6 last week. It should be a very interesting game. Enjoy this Pontiac, you have earned this moment.

MR SANDY DUNES: FARMINGTON 21, PONTIAC 13.

BURNEY: FARMINGTON 29, PONTIAC 21.

COTTER: FARMINGTON 42, PONTIAC 7.

TIM: FARMINGTON 98, PONTIAC 0.

DUNLAP: FARMINGTON 34, PONTIAC 7.

STICK: FARMINGTON 35, PONTIAC 14.

Avondale at Royal Oak:  I’ve been really hard on Royal Oak this season but they have exceeded my expectations. The Yellow Jackets were very competitive despite falling 34-19 to Berkley last week. The Ravens have not beaten Avondale in six tries. This could be the perfect opportunity to get that first win in school history over the Yellow Jackets if things go right.

MR SANDY DUNES: ROYAL OAK 28, AVONDALE 25.

BURNEY: ROYAL OAK 25, AVONDALE 20.

COTTER: AVONDALE 27, ROYAL OAK 7.

TIM: AVONDALE 42, ROYAL OAK 0.

DUNLAP: ROYAL OAK 21, AVONDALE 17.

STICK: AVONDALE 21, ROYAL OAK 20.

Allen Park at Harper Woods: This is the first meeting between the Pioneers and the Jaguars. Harper Woods had a week off after Hamtramck had to forfeit. Allen Park has been solid all season long and is also on the verge of the postseason. The Jaguars lost 33-28 to Brownstown Woodhaven two weeks ago but have been averaging over 34 points per game since then. This is shaping up to be a good one of two of Wayne County’s finest schools.

MR SANDY DUNES: HARPER WOODS 35, ALLEN PARK 31.

BURNEY: HARPER WOODS 32, ALLEN PARK 30.

COTTER: HARPER WOODS 26, ALLEN PARK 16.

TIM: ALLEN PARK 35, HARPER WOODS 21.

DUNLAP: HARPER WOODS 24, ALLEN PARK 20.

STICK: ALLEN PARK 21, HARPER WOODS 14.
