BIG WIN: Bloomfield Hills: The Blackhawks blocked a field goal attempt that would had sealed a Berkley win on Friday night and then they would block an extra point in overtime. Then kicker Sara Huston kicked the winning extra point to stun the Bears 35-34 in overtime at Hurley Field. Tanner Slazinski had five touchdown passes in the game. The loss hurts Berkley’s Blue title hopes but the Bears can still clinch a share of the Blue if they can beat Rochester next week at Hurley Field. Bloomfield Hills hosts Avondale next week.

TOUGH LOSS: Oak Park: The Knights are in a very unusual spot after losing 38-20 on Friday night to Groves in Knight Valley. Oak Park is 0-5 which is very unusual as mentioned prior. They will head to Clarkston next week. The Falcons will head to Stoney Creek next week.

WHAT HAPPENED? Oxford: The Wildcats have really struggled to score, three points in two weeks is not going to get things done for Oxford. The Wildcats fell 14-3 to North Farmington on Friday night. It’s hard to change a culture I get it but right now offensively Oxford is struggling, that’s not a good sign heading into their showdown with Southfield Arts and Tech. North Farmington will host Seaholm next week.

TEAM THAT MADE A STATEMENT: Rochester: The Falcons proved to everyone that they are for real after a 40-16 beatdown of Ferndale on Friday night. Rochester will head to Hurley Field next week. The Eagles suffered their second blowout loss of the season. They will need a bounce back next week when they play Pontiac.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Southfield Arts and Tech: I apologized last week to the Warriors on air but what happened on Friday night was stunning. Southfield Arts and Tech was blown out by a very good Stoney Creek squad 36-7. The Cougars are very good that’s for sure but I was more disappointed in the Warriors then I was with Stoney Creek. Southfield Arts and Tech heads to Oxford next week while the Cougars host Groves.
