Plymouth at WEST BLOOMFIELD: The Lakers are no strangers to playing the Wildcats. West Bloomfield beat Plymouth 49-14 at the Swamp last season in the first round. These two teams are playing again except this time it’s in the district finals and not the first round. The winner will either get Belleville or Brownstown Woodhaven in the regionals.

Utica Eisenhower at LAKE ORION: The Dragons and Eagles are no strangers to each other when it comes to the postseason. Lake Orion has won the last three playoff meetings over Utica Eisenhower on their home field (2008. 2010, and 2012.) The Eagles and Dragons are mirror images of each other. Both teams run the zone read offense. Both teams have great head coaches in Chris Smith and John Blackstock. Both teams have stout quarterbacks in Blake Rastigue and Blaze Lauer. Both teams have stout running backs in Mario Getaw and Kobe Manzo. Both teams have very talented wide receivers in Ethan Barker and Steve Nadolski while the other side has Mitchell Howell and Drew Van Heck. Also both teams are stout defensively. There is a lot more similarities than differences. This should be a tense drama in the Dragons Den on Friday night.

SANDY DUNES PICK: LAKE ORION 23, UTICA EISENHOWER 20.
DUNLAP PICK: LAKE ORION 28, UTICA EISENHOWER 27.
BURNEY PICK: LAKE ORION 35, UTICA EISENHOWER 25.

COTTER PICK: LAKE ORION 17, UTICA EISENHOWER 14.
FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK: UTICA EISENHOWER 28, LAKE ORION 21.
D-ZONE PICK: LAKE ORION 24, UTICA EISENHOWER 22.

Detroit University-Detroit Jesuit at FARMINGTON: The Cubs forced six turnovers which included five interceptions in their 34-21 victory over North Farmington last week. The Falcons shocked the state by beating Oak Park 12-6 in Knight Valley last week. Farmington is very good defensively but they haven’t had a home game since week four (beat Ferndale 53-14.) This will be very interesting as the winner will play either Detroit Martin Luther King or Livonia Franklin in the regionals.

SANDY DUNES PICK: FARMINGTON 21, DETROIT UNIVERSITY-DETROIT JESUIT 7.
DUNLAP PICK: DETROIT UNIVERSITY-DETROIT JESUIT 28, FARMINGTON 17.
BURNEY PICK: FARMINGTON 31, DETROIT UNIVERSITY-DETROIT JESUIT 21.

FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK: FARMINGTON 17, DETROIT UNIVERSITY-DETROIT JESUIT 14.
D-ZONE PICK:FARMINGTON 17, DETROIT UNIVERSITY-DETROIT JESUIT 13.

SEAHOLM at GROVES: The Battle of 13 Mile has been really one sided lately. The Falcons have won eight straight over the Maples including beating their city rivals twice last season which included the playoffs. Groves won 35-14 at Seaholm three weeks ago. The Maples have won two straight since that game including last week’s 55-34 shootout victory over Sterling Heights. The Falcons had a week off to heal their wounds after falling 49-28 to Brownstown Woodhaven two weeks ago. This one will be very interesting to say the least.

SANDY DUNES PICK: GROVES 35, SEAHOLM 21.
DUNLAP PICK: GROVES 24, SEAHOLM 21.
BURNEY PICK: GROVES 28, SEAHOLM 24.

FULL COURT PICK:
TIM PICK: GROVES 35, SEAHOLM 14.
D-ZONE PICK:GROVES 35, SEAHOLM 21.
