The recent blog article that was posted and now deleted now states that Pontiac has not named their football coach as of yet.
According to the source that I had thought indicated that Pontiac named Jonas Gray their head coach however Athletic Director Lee Montgomery said in a email that the interview process are still on going and that the source that I reported on was untrue.
Whoever the new coach is named will have a tough task ahead of them basically rebuilding the football program. The Phoenix as mentioned is 5-57 since 2011 and will compete in the Blue this season with the likes of Avondale, Farmington, North Farmington, Ferndale, Royal Oak, and Berkley.
We will find out when a new coach is named in next couple weeks.
