BIG WIN: Oxford: Any time you give Clarkston their first home loss since 2016 when the Wolves lost to Romeo in the playoffs that is a big deal and that’s what the Wildcats did on Friday night stunning Clarkston 20-17 on a passing touchdown from Drew Carpenter to Joseph Miller on a fourth and goal from the five yard line to pull off the biggest win in Oxford’s history in the OAA. The Wildcats are guaranteed playoffs for sure now and they host Bloomfield Hills next week while the Wolves go to Lake Orion to play a surging Dragons team that is improving each week.

TOUGH LOSS: Harrison: The Hawks lost a tough one tonight at home to Adams 24-17 on Friday night. Harrison trailed 14-0 but battled back against a Highlanders team that was desperate. Adams right now sits at 4-3 and they host Southfield Arts and Tech next week. The Hawks go to Beverly Hills next week to play Groves.

TEAM THAT SENT A STATEMENT: Ferndale: The Eagles have been scoring in bunches lately including winning 46-6 over Pontiac at Wisner Stadium. Ferndale who is on their four game road trip will conclude their Blue season next week when they travel to Hurley Field to take on a Berkley Bears team that is struggling. The Phoenix whom conclude league play will head to Clawson next week to play the Trojans.

TEAM THAT’S IN TROUBLE: Royal Oak: The Ravens lost their only chance at making the postseason with a 34-12 loss to Avondale in Auburn Hills on Friday night. Royal Oak’s next two games are home contests against Detroit Edison and Monroe Jefferson, both teams have had tough seasons. The Ravens could finish at 5-4 but they might not have enough playoff points to get there.

WHAT HAPPENED? West Bloomfield: What happened to the Lakers??? West Bloomfield had to escape against Adams with a 24-20 win last week but they could not beat their former quarterback Anthony Romphf and the Southfield Arts and Tech Warriors whom stunned West Bloomfield in the Swamp 37-35 on Friday night. This is a huge win for the Warriors as this win keeps their playoff hopes alive and they have a tough schedule as they go to Adams next week and then to River Rouge in two weeks. The Lakers have a tough road to close out the season with a matchup in two weeks against the fourth place team in the Catholic League Central and Oak Park next week, which is brutal.

TEAM THAT NEEDS A HUG: Rochester: The Falcons can’t seem to catch a break with how things have been. This team may be the best 2-5 team in the State after losing a tough 41-33 game to Oak Park in Knight Valley on Friday night. The Knights host West Bloomfield next week while the Falcons will go to Stoney Creek and take on their former assistant coach Nick Merlo and take on the Cougars.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME: Troy: The season is officially over for the Colts after losing 38-0 to Groves in Beverly Hills on Friday night. Troy has struggled all season and will miss the playoffs this season. The Falcons will host Harrison next week while Troy hosts their arch rivals Troy Athens next week at home.
