I wasn't surprised to see what happened to Farmington at Detroit University-Detroit Jesuit against Detroit Martin Luther King but the score was a bit surprising with a 49-39 outcome on Monday afternoon. It didn't help that the Falcons didn't have Ray Bryant at 100 percent as he injured his knee against Groves in the district title game. The first half was the difference in the game as the Crusaders got out to a 14-6 lead and a 25-14 halftime lead. It would only get worse from there as Farmington trailed 38-22 after three quarters and never really threatened. The Falcons return two very solid players next season and finish the season at 15-8 for coach Terrance Porter.
I was impressed with Adams against Orchard Lake St. Marys on Monday night at West Bloomfield. I thought the Highlanders were going to get blown out but they made it a game with the Eaglets, tying the score at 20-20 at the half. Adams with their young team held their own but they fell 41-35 against Orchard Lake St Marys. The future looks bright for coach Brad Crighton's team as the balk of his team returns. The Highlanders turned around an 0-21 season to a 14-9 season. Adams will be very good for years to come.
Clarkston really sent a statement that they are a force to be a recon with in the State Playoffs. After being called out by coach Dan Fife after struggling against Lake Orion in the district semifinals, the Wolves have blown out their last two opponents (Oxford and Troy) by a combined 148-89 including a stunning 71-46 blowout of Troy at West Bloomfield on Monday night. Foster Loyer led the defending State Champs with 23 points, while CJ Robinson added 22 points, and Taylor Currie added 16 points and 17 rebpunds. Clarkston never trailed as they went up 23-6 in the first quarter and had a 43-17 halftime lead basically putting the game away in the first half. I was surprised at the outcome. I thought it would be much closer but it wasn't meant to be, the Wolves were in complete control. Clarkston will move onto the regional final and play Orchard Lake St. Marys on Wednesday at West Bloomfield. The Colts will lose a ton of talent finish the season at 17-6 for coach Gary Fralick.

- I have highest function of autism (Asperger Syndrome.) I'm a huge Dallas Stars fan. I like to play and watch football, especially when the Dragons play on Friday nights. I am a 2006 alum and used to play football for the Dragons. I ran track, I ran the 100, 200, 400 meter dashes along with shot-put and discus. During my time in Orion I was a manager for Junior Varsity Boys Basketball team. I'm the volleyball, girls basketball, and football announcer for the team and do the book on the road for girls basketball. I do the clock for volleyball in the fall along with girls basketball in the winter and announce some boys basketball games as well. In the spring I coach shot-put at Scripps Middle School, in my fifth season coaching. I run the shot-put for high school meets. I played Special Olympics Basketball, I've won three gold medals for them. I host "Between Taorminas" which is on ONTV along with a podcast called "OAA Now". In other various things outside of Lake Orion, I love to jet ski over Saginaw Bay. Saginaw Bay is basically my life. I'm a trained weather spotter for the National Weather Service for Oakland and Huron counties.
