Hello everyone, here is the basketball top 23. This will be updated weekly. As mentioned we take strength of schedule account along with the team's quality of work and wins in the non conference. Anyway here are the top 23 for both Boys and Girls Basketball.

Boys

1. Clarkston (14-1): Three games in four days will be interesting for the Wolves.

2. Oak Park (13-3): Knights have won 12 straight since a 1-3 start.

3. Hazel Park (15-1): Vikings winning ugly games lately.

4. Troy (12-4): Tough loss to Clarkston shouldn't derail Colts hopes.

5. West Bloomfield (11-6): Lakers have won six straight since struggling early.

6. Troy Athens (15-3): Red Hawks have rebounded since allowing 76 at home to Oak Park.

7. Orion (13-3): Dragons sent a statement to Rochester but still need help in the Blue race.

8. Rochester (13-3): Big test could determine Blue title on Wednesday for the Falcons.

9. Adams (10-6): Highlanders are depleted but being very competitive.

10. Farmington (10-6): Falcons have not lost at home all season, that will be put to the test on Wednesday.

11. Avondale (9-8): Yellow Jackets looking to improve going into districts.

12. Stoney Creek (8-9): Cougars getting better right now which is a good sign heading to district but will a certain player return for Stoney Creek???

13. Seaholm (7-10): Maples fell back to back to Troy Athens but they see them again in districts. It's tough to beat a team three times.

14. Groves (7-9): Tough stretch looms for the Falcons before districts.

15. North Farmington (6-10): Raiders getting better, could be the favorite heading into districts.

16. Pontiac (3-13): Big win over Farmington could boost Phoenix confidence.

17. Bloomfield Hills (4-12): Blackhawks have been showing some fight lately.

18. Royal Oak (7-9): Ravens have won two straight games by a combined four points.

19. Ferndale (6-11): Eagles trailed by 23 at one point against Berkley only to comeback and stun the Bears on their home court.

20. Oxford (5-11): Maybe the Wildcats are regretting being in the White.

21. Harrison (5-11): Hawks are 2-2 in February, could it be a positive sign going forward???

22. Berkley (10-7): Bears have lost six straight since the Lake Orion game.

23. Southfield Arts and Tech (2-14): Warriors have a tough stretch coming up.

Girls

1. Groves (16-2): Falcons have won 13 straight and haven’t lost in 2018 yet.

2. Royal Oak (16-2): Ravens have won 14 of 15. Will be a factor once districts start.

3. Southfield Arts and Tech (12-5): Warriors have won 11 straight since a 1-5 start.

4. Clarkston (14-4): Two blowouts have the Wolves heading in the right direction.

5. Bloomfield Hills (11-5): Three games in three days is going to test the Blackhawks will.

6. North Farmington (11-5): Raiders getting ready for that tough district at Farmington Hills Mercy that looms.

7. Avondale (15-2): Yellow Jackets rolling heading into districts, could be a tough out.

8. Farmington (14-5): Laura Guzman should be Coach of the Year in the OAA. Falcons playing with nothing to lose heading into districts.

9. Oxford (14-4): Wildcats showed some fight against Royal Oak but they can do the same against Groves???

10. Stoney Creek (5-13): Cougars are the Rochester City Champs.

11. Orion (4-14): Dragons have some issues they need to address.

12. Adams (4-14): Highlanders really have some issues they need to address.

13. West Bloomfield (6-12): Lakers starting to turn things around a little bit.

14. Troy Athens (6-11): Red Hawks are a hot and cold team, look good on some nights and others they don’t.

15. Troy (7-11): Colts winning games that they are suppose to win.

16. Berkley (5-12): Not a good week for the Bears, they need to bounce back and quick.

17. Oak Park (7-8): It could be a long road for the Knights once the postseason starts.

18. Seaholm (3-15): Maples are a hot and cold team, just too inconsistent right now.

19. Rochester (2-16): Falcons have lost nine straight. Not a good sign heading into the postseason.

20. Pontiac (4-11): Phoenix have lost six straight games, not good.

21. Ferndale (5-9): Eagles just keep getting better.

22. Hazel Park (7-10): Vikings haven't been consistent, which is a major concern heading into the postseason.
