Pontiac has a new Football Coach.

Written Friday August 4th at 3:30 PM

The Pontiac Phoenix will have a new football coach this fall.

The Phoenix named Charles Talley their new coach replacing John Thompson whom left after spending one season in Pontiac. Talley was named head coach in June.

Talley was at Media Day on Friday will be in charge to turn a Phoenix program that is 2-43 since 2011 and haven’t won a football game since 2014.

The Phoenix will have two solid players back in Romell Chambers and Mike King back. The numbers are not there but they will work hard each day.

Pontiac went 0-9, 0-6 last season in the Blue. The Phoenix open up the season at Detroit Old Redford Academy on August 25th.

Thoughts.

This is the sixth coach in seven seasons for Pontiac. This is a program that needs stability. They have talent, they need coaching and stability.

Hopefully Talley can build a program in Pontiac and create stability for the Phoenix.

Stay tuned to OAA Now for the latest on this developing story.
