Groves at Walled Lake
Western:
This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools. The Falcons have won two
straight games against two big programs in Ann Arbor Pioneer (18-14) and
Harrison (10-0.) Groves is trying to get their first district title since 2004 bring a 10-0 record into the game. The big reason why the Falcons are here is because of their defense. Groves has only allowed 58 points, which included
six shutouts this season but most of that was in Blue play. Now the Falcons
will get their toughest test of the season as they travel to Walled Lake to
take on the Warriors of Walled Lake Western. The Warriors are also undefeated at 10-0
and one of their big wins was at Lowell to start the season. Walled Lake Western is led by
quarterback Kyle Thomas and his favorite target Cody White. The Warriors have scored 419 points, which is 42 points per game this season. This will be a tough test for Groves going on the
road in a hostile environment. Walled Lake Western won beat neighborhood rival
Walled Lake Northern 33-9 last week.
SAMMY PICK: WALLED LAKE WESTERN 28, GROVES 14.
ANT PICK: WALLED LAKE WESTERN 56, GROVES 13.
KEITH PICK: WALLED LAKE WESTERN 21, GROVES 14.
DAN PICK: WALLED LAKE WESTERN 28, GROVES 21.
SEAN PICK: WALLED LAKE WESTERN 24, GROVES 7.

Southfield at Berkley:
The Blue Jays got a measure
of revenge last week in their home win over Oak Park blowing the Knights out
38-14 after they were blown out 50-14 in week eight now they get to go to
Hurley Field and take on the Bears. Southfield is 29-14 all time against Berkley with the last meeting being the 2009 playoffs in which the Blue Jays beat the Bears 26-10. The last time both teams met in the regular season was 1993 when both teams were in the Southeastern Michigan Conference. This will be the best team that Berkley has
seen this season talent and speed wise. The Bears have its own weapon in wide receiver Nolan Given.
Given was huge last week in a 27-0 win over Lathrup but the Southfield defense
will be the best defense he will see this season. The Blue Jays better be
careful with what happened with Harrison last week when they were upset by
Groves.
SAMMY PICK: SOUTHFIELD 45, BERKLEY 7.
ANT PICK: SOUTHFIELD 42, BERKLEY 7.
KEITH PICK: SOUTHFIELD 31, BERKLEY 10.
DAN PICK: SOUTHFIELD 30, BERKLEY 14.
SEAN PICK: SOUTHFIELD 42, BERKLEY 14.
