The Farmington Hills Harrison Hawks and coach Tim Micklash suffered a major hit as they lost their senior big girl for the season.
Kyla Roland broke two ligaments in her left hand in a win over West Bloomfield on Thursday night and is expected to have surgery on Monday.
The Hawks lose a big part of the big three but still have Amber Stephans and Kristen Nelson. They survived 48-38 over a gutsy Avondale team on Tuesday night.
The Roland injury changes the Red race as now Adams and Lathrup appear to be the front runners in the Red.
